Stringed
Chordophones are instruments that produce sound through the vibration of one or more stretched strings. Referring to the form of actuation, strings can be plucked, rubbed or struck.
In the classification created by the German musicologists Erich von Hornbostel and Curt Sachs, chordophones are the third of the five groups of instruments.
